A distinguished alumnus of the University of Birmingham, Datuk Chua's professional journey began at Peat, Marwick Mitchell & Co. in Birmingham, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983.
In 1986, he joined Price Waterhouse Kuala Lumpur as a manager overseeing audit and financial planning. A year later, he returned to Muar to establish T. H. Chua & Co., which has grown from strength to strength across four decades.
In 1994, he became the youngest Fellow member of ICAEW qualified and residing in Malaysia — a distinction he carries with characteristic modesty.
